In Jesus’ time, people understood the difference between a Good Shepherd who stayed with their flock as opposed to the BAD shepherd who ran away from danger. Fr McCarthy highlights those differences as he reflects on Jesus’ sacrifice, his willingness to face danger and not abandon us for our Salvation.
