Counseling young parents, one respected elderly priest frequently offers the following advice: “As if you could, forget spending so much time trying to prepare the environment for your child. Instead, invest yourself preparing your child for the culture.” Making real culture

change is a big job – too grand for us. We’re naïve to believe everyone can shape culture. Instead, we can ensure our children and those we mentor are prepared for the opportunities and challenges that await them. That we can certainly do and should.

Here at St. Ann, part of our mission is to assist you in investing in your spiritual growth by presenting as many sources and teachings for that growth. We provide many opportunities through the Mass+… events to enable you to deepen your faith. Getting to know the Lord deeper will assist you in preparing your children and those around you for the challenges they will face, and you will face.

“I urge you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and
pleasing to God, your spiritual worship. Do not conform yourselves to this age but be transformed by the
renewal of your mind, that you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and pleasing and perfect.”
