“Everyone should have a genuine devotion to Mary and entrust his life to her motherly care.” Vatican II
Want to Grow in Holiness But Too Busy? Don’t know where to start? In our hectic day and age, Pope St. John Paul II and St. Teresa of Calcutta knew that the quickest way to be transformed into a saint is through a relationship with Our Blessed Mother, Mary.
Starting this Thursday we will begin a 33-day preparation for Marian Consecration that will conclude December 12th, the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. For five weeks, we’ll individually read about and reflect on St. Louis de Montfort, St. Maximilian Kolbe, St. Teresa of Calcutta, and Pope St. John Paul II. They’ll teach us the secrets to drawing closer to the Heart of Jesus through the Heart of Mary.
One of the greatest aspects of being consecrated to Mary is that she’s such a gentle mother. She makes the lessons of the Cross into something sweet, and she pours her motherly love and solace into our every wound. Going to her and giving her permission to
do her job truly is the “surest, easiest, shortest and most perfect means” to becoming a saint. What joy it is to be consecrated to
Jesus through His mom, Mary!
