As we told everyone and wrote about several times, the Legacy Garden work started this past week. The removing of the pavers and Renew Tree also took place. To refresh your memory, the tree had to be removed due to the damage the roots were causing on the pavers. It was becoming a serious safety issue. The pavers were starting to pop up and also break down from all the weather, salt and time which was also presenting safety and maintenance issues.
It obviously looks a lot different in front already and the addition of the Legacy Garden will enhance the area outside the Gathering Space. We are excited about the dedication of the garden on June 2nd. You will see more details and samples of the St. Ann Legacy Society plaques and pavers during the month of May. Additional work on the face of the Gathering Space will also take place. Repainting and repair of the trim, cleaning of the stucco, and new plantings will give our entrance a beautiful clean look.
If you would like to find out more about the St. Ann Legacy Society or the garden, feel free to contact Tim Clifford at the Parish Office – 521-8440. Remember, there is a Advanced Planning/Legacy Society presentation on Thursday, May 2 at 7:00 p.m. in the Trinity Rooms.
