Meet Chuck and Joanne Thiemann Chuck and Joanne Thiemann are St. Ann’s newest parishioners! Both were born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky as cradle Catholics. This is a second marriage for both of them, going on 13 years
Chuck and his family moved to Cincinnati in 1964; Joanne and her family in 1970. Between them, there are 9 children, 17 grandchildren and 6 greatgrandchildren, with another one on the way. All but one of the children live in the Greater Cincinnati area. Chuck was in banking and Joanne was a stay-at home Mom until her children were in school. Chuck was very involved in Habitat for Humanity Intl. and
Joanne was very involved in parish work and her children’s school.
In the first few years of their marriage they had the good fortune of making retreats at Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio, which was very beneficial to their spiritual life; they remain involved with the University to this day. They are also involved with the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
For fun, they both love sports, especially thoroughbred horse racing and KENTUCKY basketball. Their quiet time is spent reading and
watching movies. You only have to meet Chuck and Joanne once to know they are very happily married. When asked their
secret, they responded, “Pray together, play together, and laugh a lot!!”
The Thiemanns brought their entire family of 25 to the Chicken Dinner and are looking forward to getting to know everyone at St. Ann’s. Please welcome them when you see them around the parish.
