According to the late Pope’s longtime personal secretary, Archbishop Georg Gänswein, his last comprehensible words were, “Lord, I love you.” His funeral Mass will be on Thursday, January 5, at 9:30 a.m. Rome time. Archbishop Dennis M. Schnurr will celebrate Mass for the peaceful repose of the soul of Pope Benedict XVI at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Peter in Chains in Cincinnati on Wednesday, January 4, at 5:15 p.m. All are welcome to attend. |
