IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR JANUARY 4-8!!

The parish will be shut down the week of January 4-8, meaning no Masses, Confession, Exposition, meetings, or other activities will take place; parish offices will also be closed. The parish will “re-open” for the weekend, starting with the Vigil Mass on Saturday the 9th at 4:00 pm.  There is a two-fold reason for this. First, I will be away at a priest conference and, since there are fewer and fewer priests available, it is getting harder and harder to find priests to    assist. Given that the Archdiocese is currently formulating a plan to close/combine more than half of the existing parishes, I suspect this will be the new normal throughout the Archdiocese when the pastor is away. But not to worry! There are  several parishes a short distance away with opportunities for daily Mass, confessions, etc. Below is a list of parishes with weekday Mass and confession times.

The second reason is to give my staff time off to relax and recharge. During this pandemic, many parishes and businesses have shut down at various times, while my staff worked. And given they also work through most holidays, I believe my staff is deserving of some time off.  This will not affect the weekend schedule; the weekend   Masses will take place as normal. Fr. Schmitmeyer, the vocation director, will be saying the Masses that weekend.  Thank you for your understanding.
